We Believe:
- That the Bible is the Word of God supernaturally inspired, so that it is inerrant in the original manuscripts and preserved by God in its verbal, plenary inspiration, so that it is a divinely authoritative standard for every age and every life (2 Peter 1:21; 2 Tim. 3:16; Matt. 4:4).
- That the Godhead exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and that these three are one God (Matt. 28:19; John 15:26; 2 Cor. 13:14; Isa. 45:21, 22).
- In God as absolute and sole creator of the universe, and that creation was divine fiat, not through evolutionary process (Gen. 1:1; Neh. 9:6; Acts 14:15).
- That God, by His sovereign choice and His love for men, sent Jesus Christ into the world to save sinners (John 3:16; Ro. 6:23; 8:32; John 17:3).
- That Jesus Christ in the flesh was both God and man, that He was born of a virgin and that He lived a sinless life, in which He revealed in the four Gospels, that He was crucified, died as a penalty for our sins and was raised from the dead bodily on the third day. Later He ascended to the Father’s right hand where He is head of the church and intercedes for believers, and from whence He is coming again personally, bodily, visibly to this earth to set up His millennial Kingdom (1 Tim. 3:15; John 1:1-3, 14; Matt. 1:23-25; 2 Cor. 5:21; Heb. 4:15; 7:25; Acts 4:10-12; 10:38; 1 Thess. 4:13-18; Eph. 1:20-22; 1 Cor. 8:6; Rev. 10:1-6).
- That since, in His death by His shed blood, the Lord Jesus Christ made a perfect atonement for sin, redeeming us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us–men are saved, justified on the simple and single ground of His shed blood (Ro. 5:11; Gal. 3:13; Acts 16:31).
- That such salvation with its forgiveness of sins, its impartation of a new nature and its hope of eternal life, is entirely apart from good works, baptism, church membership, or man’s efforts, and is of pure grace (Eph. 2:8, 9; Titus 3:5-7).
- That a true believer will have a change in his/her lifestyle according to 2 Cor. 5:17 and if he/she does sin, that through confession and God’s promise to forgive in 1 John 1:9, fellowship with the Heavenly Father is immediately restored. We, as Christians, are to walk uprightly before the Lord to the best of our ability and depending upon His Word to teach us, correct us and establish us in spiritual maturity through the work of the Holy Spirit (Col. 3:6-10; Gal. 2:20; John 17).
- That all who receive Christ are then indwelt by the Holy Spirit and become joint-heirs with Christ. At death, a Christian’s spirit departs to be with Christ in conscious blessedness, and at the rapture his/her body will be raised to the likeness of the body of His glory and dwell forever in His presence (Ro. 8:17; Acts 7:59; Phil. 1:21; 2 Cor. 5:8; 1 Cor. 15:50-58; 1 Thess. 2:13-18).
- That the Holy Spirit is a Person, is God and possesses all the divine attributes (John 15:26; Ro. 8:9-11; Isa. 48:16; Acts 10:45-48; 11:12; 19:2-6).
