Even though this book may be the author’s first devotional in print, Jeannette Haley has, in a sense, been “writing” daily devotions for most of her Christian life. Such “devotionals” consist of love, hope, and inspiration that have been a part of her testimony and expression through various means-one being her paintings as a professional artist. Her sense of wonder can be found in the painted reflections of the majesty of God’s creation, whether it be the silent grandeur of majestic mountain peaks, the glory of clouds and sky, flaming sunsets, rainbows of promise, the power of foaming seas, animal and bird life, or the colorful complexity and intricate beauty of flowers. The murals Jeannette painted for the Chapel of the Resurrection in Bothell, WA give silent witness of her love for her Lord and Savior.
