Jihad, The Church and the New World Order

As everyone knows, America was shocked without warning out of its smug complacency on Tuesday, September 11. Since that time, countless voices have been heard giving different perspectives for the reason behind this unspeakable act. Blame has been cast on Satan, God, Islam, specific terrorist organizations and/or the CIA. One popular voice in Christendom hatefully cast the blame solely on abortionists, homosexuals and women libbers. But, who is right?
Before we take a closer look at this subject, I need to make it crystal clear that we who make up Gentle Shepherd Ministries are patriotic Americans to the core. Our hearts and prayers go out to all of the victim’s families, rescue workers, America’s leaders and others whose lives have been dramatically affected by these unspeakable horrors.
The goal of this article is to sift through all of the many voices and endless confusion to hopefully bring at least some measure of truth. Without truth neither the American people nor the church will be able to arrive at the right conclusions that are critical to decisions regarding the future survival of both. The Prophet Isaiah could be describing the times in which we live when he wrote, Isaiah 59. Verses 14- 15 read, ” And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.”
A careful analysis of the varied viewpoints listed above in paragraph one reveals a grain of truth in each of them. There is no doubt that Satan, as the god of this world, never ceases to cause destruction and ruin to all mankind including God’s magnificent creation. Even non-Christians have knowledge that Satan represents all that is evil.
On the other hand, some have pointed their finger straight at God, asking why a good God would allow such unspeakable horror. After all, God is more powerful than Satan, isn’t He? This is a good question and one that Rayola deals with in this newsletter.
David Wilkerson, pastor of Times Square Church in New York City, who has faithfully warned America and the church of such calamities, writes, “Ministers and theologians everywhere are saying, ‘God had nothing to do with these disasters. He wouldn’t allow such awful things to happen’. Yet nothing could be further from the truth. This kind of thinking is causing our nation to rapidly miss the message God wants to speak to us through the tragedy.” He further explains that God’s message to America is the same message that God gave to the nation of Israel. He writes, “The Bible makes it crystal clear: God used enemy nations to chasten his people. The Lord wielded these enemies as an instrument of warning to Israel, calling the nation to repent. [See Isaiah 10:5-6.] God charged this coalition of Israel’s enemies to chasten his chosen people. The Lord was trying to warn Israel, ‘You’ve lifted yourself up with pride. Now I’m about to bring you down. I’m going to allow you to be destroyed by your enemies.’” Any casual observer of history and the Bible knows the historical outcome for the once proud nation of Israel. GOD BLESS AMERICA?
In the aftermath of this unprecedented attack on American soil, the people rallied together. We tearfully watched as the American people lay aside their differences and together donated blood, gave to the victims’ families and rescue workers, displayed every available American flag, cried with one another, lit candles, sang and prayed. We have all seen, felt and heard the great groundswell of anger and indignation towards the utter depravity and wickedness of the terrorists who perpetrated and carried out this dastardly deed.
Here in our Idaho community we see “God Bless America” displayed on many signs. Decades ago, before the murder of millions of unborn babies, rebellion, drugs, hard rock, Satanism, rampant fornication, homosexuality, pornography, idolatry and the prideful ungodly psychology of self-esteem and other “self-isms”, such signs would stir hope and joy. But my spirit withers every time I read these signs. The truth is, how can a HOLY GOD bless an arrogant, wicked, unrepentant nation? Why should God bless America more than any other nation on the face of the earth? Doesn’t it strike you as hypocritical to hear our leaders vow to eradicate this evil from off the face of the earth when our own nation, according to God’s word, is also evil and deserving of God’s judgment?
David Wilkerson puts it this way, “But we face the same danger Israel did. In our fiery patriotism, we could easily miss God’s message to our nation. And right now, we’re standing at the very same crossroads where Israel stood. Deep in my spirit, I hear the Lord saying, ‘I’ve prospered you above all nations. Yet, for years you’ve persisted in worshipping idols of gold and silver. I’ve endured your shameless sensuality, your mockery of holy things, your shedding of innocent blood, your tireless efforts to remove me from your society. Now time is running out for you. You’ve been warned again and again. Yet still you won’t open your eyes to your wicked ways. Now I’ve stricken you, in hopes of saving you. I want to heal your land, to destroy your enemies, to bring you back into my blessing. But you don’t have eyes to see it.’
If God wouldn’t spare other nations that have outlawed him, why would he spare America? He’ll judge us even as he judged Sodom, Rome, Greece and every other culture that has turned its back on him.” Yet America is now standing with an upraised fist of prideful defiance instead of falling on its face before God in genuine brokenness and repentance. America may give lip service to God, and while there is no doubt that there are genuine Christians in the multitude with real faith, the prevailing voice is that of “American pride” and “American strength.” In other words, we run home to “Daddy” every time there is a major crises, but our faith is really in our own military might. Needless to say, IF GOD DOES NOT FIGHT FOR THIS NATION, IT MATTERS LITTLE WHAT KIND OF MILITARY MIGHT WE HAVE. What gives us the right to assume God will, once again as in time past, fight for this nation? Could we be like Sampson of old who “…wist not that the LORD was departed from him”? (Judges 16:20b)
Pastor Wilkerson also writes, “When a nation is under divine correction, it will react in one of two ways. A nation under chastisement may humble itself and repent, as Nineveh did. Or, it may give lip service to God, but then turn inward to its own strength to rise above the correction. There will be a rallying cry, stating, ‘We have the strength to endure any disaster. And we have the ability and resolve to overcome any problem. We’re truly a great nation.’ But we face the same danger Israel did. In our fiery patriotism, we could easily miss God’s message to our nation. And right now, we’re standing at the very same crossroads where Israel stood.” To this we agree. Based on God’s character and holiness, unless America truly repents, she is doomed.
The sad truth is, unlike the persecuted church worldwide, the average American Christian in the average American church has been indoctrinated for decades into a type of cultural Christianity. In other words, it is man-centered and worldly.
The late A.W. Tozer says it best: “The new cross encourages a new and entirely different evangelistic approach. The evangelist does not demand abnegation of the old life before a new life can be received. He preaches not contrasts but similarities. He seeks to key into public interest by showing that Christianity makes no unpleasant demands; rather, it offers the same thing the world does, only on a higher level. Whatever the sin-mad world happens to be clamoring after at the moment is cleverly shown to be the very thing the gospel offers, only the religious product is better.
The new cross does not slay the sinner, it redirects him. It gears him into a cleaner and jollier way of living and saves his self-respect. To the self-assertive it says, ‘Come and assert yourself for Christ.’ To the egotist it says, ‘Come and do your boasting in the Lord.’ To the thrill seeker it says, ‘Come and enjoy the thrill of Christian fellowship.’ The Christian message is slanted in the direction of the current vogue in order to make it acceptable to the public.” (Man: The dwelling Place of god, p. 43)
The average American church-goer has been taught and honestly believes that all God requires is faithful church attendance, tithe paying and being a “good” person. However, the majority of people who confess to being a Christian in this country have never read the Bible through (even once); cannot give a personal testimony of their salvation; cannot explain what the Gospel is; do not know how to lead a sinner to Christ and can’t explain the fundamentals of Christianity such as the character and attributes of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
Most Americans have little or no understanding of Islam, which is to be expected. But if we are to survive in these perilous times, we need to know our enemy. What is the truth about Islam? Is it the peace-loving religion we are being asked to believe that it is by our leaders? Consider this: If our leaders insist that Islam is not a threat and that it is peace-loving, then our nation’s leaders are either ignorant of Islam and its bloody history or they are lying through their teeth. Either way, they have no business heading up this country’s policies.
Iran’s Ayatollah Khomeini declared, “The purest joy in Islam is to kill and be killed for Allah.” To quote from Dave Hunt’s latest article, A Moment of Truth: “Muhammad, who with his followers slaughtered thousands in establishing and spreading Islam, said of Muslims, ‘who relinquishes his faith, kill him…. I have been ordered by Allah to fight with people till they testify there is no god but Allah and Mohammed is his messenger.’”
Hunt writes, “There is a certain hypocrisy in the new outrage with which America and the world now view terrorism. History’s bloodiest, most vicious and successful terrorist, Yasser Arafat, has been given the Nobel Peace Prize and embraced as a world statesman. He is proof to would-be imitators that terrorism pays big. The United Nations, European Union, and countless world political and religious leaders have sided with him in his terrorism against Israel.”
In his book, WHO IS THIS ALLAH? G.J.O. Moshay, he writes, “Islam is…more antagonistic to the Christian faith than Communism ever was…. In Communist China today, Christianity still thrives. But confession of Christ by a national in an Islamic country is regarded as high treason.” Concerning the confusion surrounding Allah, if he is the same as the God of the Bible, Dave Hunt explains, “Westerners naively accept Allah, who inspired Muhammad, as the god of the Bible. Yet Allah has no son, and rejects the Trinity, is unknowable, and was the pagan idol/god of Muhammad’s tribe before he was born. Allah tells Muslims, ‘Take not the Jews and Christians for friends…slay the idolaters [infidels] wherever ye find them. Fight against those who…believe not in Allah or the Last Day’. To die fighting infidels is the only sure way for a Muslim to gain Paradise.”
Viet Nam Vet and author, Chuck Dean, sent valuable information on knowing our enemy written by Jerry Golden from Israel. Following are some excerpts concerning Jihad. “…you should know that Jihad is the core of their [Moslem] faith and nothing can separate them from that. Jihad is a lot more than a Holy Moslem War; it is a required Islamic mentality. You will never understand the concepts of the Moslem ‘Islamic’ World or the Islamic Terrorist until you understand what Jihad is, and what it means to the Moslems. It has a spiritual concept that goes beyond physical war. It is in fact the heart of the Book of the Moslems, the Koran. It is also Jihad to remove someone from Jesus “Yeshua” whether they do it by the sword, gun or any other violence. Or by enticing them with this or that, it is all Jihad. …Islam and Jihad…[are] a threat to Christians and Jews alike. They feel to punish mankind into submitting to the Koran is what the Koran demands, it’s Jihad. Reject the deity of Jesus or die! Become a Moslem or die! The killings happen because someone is following the koranic command of Jihad. To blow an airplane out of the sky with a few hundred non-Moslems is Jihad.
The Koran teaches the Moslems that if they die while killing the unbelievers they will go straight to heaven. The Koran declares that it is to be an Islamic world or it is death, that is Jihad. Churches all over Europe are being turned into Mosques. Blacks all around the world are turning to Islam at alarming numbers. …Israel is faced today with this battle, but it’s nothing new for …Israel. Now the U.S. is faced with it, and you may not even know it, but it is the enemy of God. I’m talking about the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; not the god called Allah, the moon god of the Moslems. These are the most dangerous people on earth; they are bloodthirsty and kill innocent women and children with no remorse. Yasser Arafat is a Terrorist, …Jihad has come to the U.S. and it will spread throughout the whole world.”
THE NEW WORLD ORDER
It appears to be a good thing for all free nations to unite against this unspeakable, bloody evil. But, as Tricia Tillin of Banner Ministries in the UK warns, “Once man takes the certainty of the One God and the One focal point of human destiny out of the equation, all that remains is a bewildering amount of voices that raise up religions aplenty but no peace for the heart and no assurance of salvation. There is no stability. Not only has the WORLD done this—by promoting Humanism, Human Potential religions and concepts like Evolution, and by demoting the Christian Bible to just one of a number of good religious texts. Not only the World, I say, but THE CHURCH has spoken with divided tongues for years, not giving a clear lead, watering down the gospel, pandering to human tastes and desires, bringing entertainment into worship and presenting salvation as if it’s a wise business investment. Mixture has come in, and purity and the ONE Truth has flown out the window. This is all in readiness for the One World deception to come.”
She goes on to say, “Babylon took some concepts that were true and mixed them with demonic wisdom; the churches today have taken some godly truths and mixed them with pagan rituals and occult worship. What was strictly forbidden in the OT Tabernacle was to offer a mixed sacrifice, or to wear a mixture of fabrics, or to mingle the holy with the profane. When you take the purity out of God’s truth and mingle it with many alien concepts, all you end up with is confusion—BABEL.
Peace, both in the heart and in the world is the gift of God. Confusion is the Judgement of God. The world is about to be plunged into the most bewildering time of its history, because cultures, different attitudes, different religions and ideals—this is like trying to unite oil and water by shaking the bottle. Sooner or later, they separate out again.
The final empire predicted in Daniel, that of the ten toes, was of MIXTURE—as of clay and iron, which could not mingle. (Dan. 2:42-43) …remove God, remove the ONE truth of salvation in Jesus, remove God’s eternal laws and standards and replace them with ‘laodicea’ the self-rule of mankind and you end up not knowing which way to turn.
The world may unite under its common god and common religion, but we have to continue to stand for THE truth, without mixture. That means we have to heed what God said about Babylon: Rev. 18:4 ‘And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.’” (Read also 2 Cor. 6:17-18; Jer. 51:6; 51:45-46 concerning God’s people coming out and being separate.) This coming out means spiritually, mentally and perhaps actually if you are involved in that kind of church environment or political arena.”
Behind the scenes, the terrorists and their kind are mere pawns in the plan to bring about a one-world community of man under one leader—the antichrist. Globalism is still the name of the game. No one can truthfully deny that we are witnessing the fulfillment of prophecy at an accelerated rate. The global threat of Muslim terrorists whose aim is to subjugate (through Jihad) the entire world to Islam is real. The determination of the United States and other non-Moslem countries to unite against this terror is just as real. The visibility of the New World Order and its ecumenical, anti-Christian religion looms ever brighter on the horizon of mankind’s history. And the “kickoff” was held in New York City’s Yankee Stadium Sunday, September 23, as thousands prayed to a “god” of their own imagination and choosing.
Tricia is right when she says, “We come out of Babylon, but that is not much good unless we also HIDE IN THE ROCK. It is God who hides us in the cleft of the Rock and shields us from confusion, terror and distress.” Allow me to ask, are you hid in the Rock today?
